Degrassi Goes Hollywood + Season 9 Promos

Just saw the Degrassi Goes Hollywood movie online (I hate not having The-N sometimes). It was just meh to me.

*SPOILERS* It wasn't as bad as I thought I'd be though. I didn't like Paige's plot. Too corny, unrealistic and predictable to me. I kinda like that it ended with Paige and Marco's friendship still broken. We already know Marco will make an appearance in season 9 and it was hinted that Paige will make one too. So I bet more will be addressed then.

Ellie's plot was okay. I really liked that they brought her dad back so we didn't have to get choked with Crellie the whole time. Even now I still don't like the pairing. Did they even become official or not? Ellie did say something like "we'll always have L.A. or something" I dunno I honestly wasn't paying too much attention. But, I'm gonna say no. The CRUSH does not need to happen ever....

Manny's of course was my favorite and Cassie's acting was great! And now I'm kinda glad they didn't have a plot leading up to her dating her Professor Mick cause I hated him. I didn't even mind Studz being there, except Mia. She really had NO point of being there what-so-ever. I mean ditch her modeling AND kid to run off to follow her boyfriend to LA? Oh yea, she's mother-of-the-year. And boy does she have Peter whipped... if he couldn't even tell her it was an all guys trip and he didn't want her to go. I'm definitely still anti-Pia. But, it did have one couple I did like!! Janny!!! :D Yes I am still a fan of them! And am so glad that they got back together!! Since Stephen mentioned Jay and Manny being in the studio at the same time I hope they have some scenes together in season 9! (Is still secretly hoping that Jay gets bumped up to regular again). *END SPOILERS*

It took me awhile to get through the movie. I had to stop a few times because I was more interested in season 9 spoilers. Speaking of season 9.... I'm excited!!! I can't wait for the episodes to air in Sept (so I can download and watch them online XD I can't help it I'm impatient).

I liked the little promos they have us. But, I thought there was going to be a Fiona one too according to Stefan's twitter. Hm... maybe it'll air later? I wanna know more about her character!!

Melinda also said in her twitter that Spinner, Holly J, Sav and Alli all went to New York for promos. And so did Riley, Alli, Sav, Holly J, Peter, KC and Clare another time. She said they were shooting promos for TeenNick so I hope we get more! (They shot all the others in Canada below. The two I just showed where shot in New York). We now have Sav and Spolly J one. I hope we see the other ones soon!! I want a Klare one dang it!! Maybe they'll air later!

*Hm.. wonder what Alli got herself into.
*Peter: "This is where I get high." Someone's not taking abandonment well.
*Dave: "This is where I get her digits." Yea. I lol at that part. Guess that's all we know about that character. Wonder who he goes after, he definitely looks like a niner.
*Holly J: "This is where I'll get back at that bitch." I think she's refering to Jenna. Jenna's actress mentioned on her twitter that she had "fun" scenes with Holly J. I already don't Jenna if she's going to mess with two of my fave female characters (Clare and Holly J).

*Jane: "And where I could lose mine." Sad aw... :(

*KC trashing the lockerroom. Do like. I can only see him doing that for two reasons. One a Klare breakup. Two Reese pushes his buttons to hard. I'm hoping it's number two, Reese needs to play a bigger role. I also think this is the A-plot of 903: Shoot To Thrill. Sounds like a basketball episode to me. I want a KC-Reese fight!!
*Peter freaking out. I believe it's Jay, Spinner, Danny and Sav yelling out to him. Man if he gets hit by a car krama really is striking back on these days (ex. Spinner getting shot).

I do love that line, but I thought she'd become nicer. Guess we were all wrong, lol. Can't wait to see who pushed her buttons. According to Melinda (Alli) on her twitter: "anyone know where i can find the promo of me and charlotte beating eachother up? " Looks like it's Alli. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Jenna pisses her off later on since they have scenes together.

Woah. Man whore alert! Really wasn't expecting that! But, hey? It is realistic! Delcan's definitely a lot different then I thought he'd be. I really wonder what his sister Fiona is like. I mean having a brother like that? I bet he scared away all of her girl friends. I really hope she has Society Anxiety Disorder to something.
Let's placed bets on the girl he goes after! My money's on Holly J. I would say Anya, but she's not that aggressive.... yet. Or even Jane maybe. Clare and Alli are also possible targets if he ends up being a sophomore. I really want to know his grade. I don't think he's a niner. I'm pretty sure he'll be a sophomore or junior.

This screams sexting plot!! And it better be or I'll be mad XD It's an issue they really need to cover.

Aw... Clare looks pretty. But, poor Clare. Now we know what her rivally's gonna be about. My money's on Jenna. She and Delcan definitely seem like the backstabbers Stephen mentioned on his twitter. I don't care if Jenna does go after KC as long as he disses her and doesn't like her back I'm fine with it. If he really liked Clare's rival back it'll be so OOC that I'll have a WTF look on my face for awhile. Plus Klare's supposed to get a "mindblowing" two-parter (911/912: Heart Like Mine), which I hope is more about KC's past. If the "mindblowing" thing is KC cheats, I'll be really pissed cause that's not "mindblowing" that's just annoying. When they say "mindblowing" I want something like KC's past to blow up in his face or a bomb threat, stalking, something!!

And the next promo does lead me to believe it's about his past luckily!

Yes! Thankfully this one hints a lot that his plot will be about his past. Now we can finally learned what he did!!

Yea. Peter's definitely going downhill. Bet that's the main reason why Mrs. H comes back.

I thought Stefan said Fiona was in a promo too? I guess it'll air later..... Oh well, we'll see!

I loved Holly J's unrequited crush on Spinner in Danger Zone and this song fit perfectly for them. I'm just sad that I had to cut the song short since there's not enough clips of them :( Oh well, maybe one day I'll redo this one when more scenes come out! (If they do...). Another book review. Just because I think Gakuen Alice fans on my friend list might be interested. I mean read the summary:

Grace=Alice! Except those who are Graced have two different colored eyes, which I find to be a cool trait. Other then that, that's the only thing those two things these series have in common. But, if anyone wants to read another series about characters with different powers/alices/graces/etc. This would be one!!

I liked this book. It's written into three parts and is around 480 pages, which I think should have been trimmed down. It does get alittle boring towards the end of part 2. I really liked the characters though. The only main problem I have is that they try to save someone and in the end you never figure out what it is that person possesses and why they really needed saving. It's just not answered. I did not like that! But, the author is writing a sequel about that certain character so it better be answered there. Overwise I'd give it a 3.5/5. I think other people will probably like it better then me. I'm definitely going to be reading the sequel though!! ^^

I also watched the second episode of 10 Things I Hate About You (the TV series). It's definitely getting better!!! I really liked the end. Can't wait to see where it's going!

I also watched the first episode of Merlin. Definitely a series I'm going to watch more of!! Watch it at Hulu.com now!! And I think that's all for now XD Family's annoying me. Later!!

I read this book awhile ago, but I kept forgetting to mention it on here! @_@

I really enjoyed this book. Probably one of the best young adult books I've read. Just ignore the heroine's lame first name and you'll be fine! It gets compared to the movie Battle Royal, which I still haven't seen! But, I really want too. This book's the first in a trilogy. It's the only one out so far. I really can't wait for the second one to come out in September!! <3 I also heard that there planning on making a movie out of it, so read it now! XD

Ah I'm so glad that some Twilight fans are moving on. *Laughs at icon*

Fandom update!

First I'll start with the good news. Kuroshitsuji is getting a second season!! :D So I guess Ciel didn't die in the end? Um... well as long as they do the circus arc I'll be happy! And chapter 34=pure win!!

And the bad news. WTF Viz!? Viz has never been my favorite manga publishing line, but I liked the Shojo Beat line. I also liked that the manga was $8.99 and cheaper then their regular $9.99 price. But, NO Viz has to go pull a Tokyopop on us and raise the price to $9.99 too. Starting Oct. 2009 it seems.

It just annoys me cause I bet the qualities going to be no better even with the price range (Not like Del Ray's). Plus manga's already expensive...... How much you wanna bet the price is going to get higher and not cheaper over the years now that manga/anime is becoming more popular?

Gr.... Viz. At least I'm only trying to collect about 3 series from the Shojo Beat line right now. I bet people who are collecting Vampire Knight from them are going to be the angriest. That series isn't even close to done apparently.

Night World Review

And now I'm finally finished the first nine stories in the Night World series! Man, I love this series. I can't wait for the finale which is supposed to come out this summer. If you like vampires, witches, werewolves, etc. Then definitely check this series out. It's young adult, but a lot of adults read it too. It was also written about 10 years before Twilight and is being reprinted now, so it kinda already kicks Twilight's butt just for that XD

Night World
By: L.J. Smith

Vampires, werewolves, witches, shapeshifters -- they live among us without our knowledge. Night World is their secret society, a secret society with very strict rules. And falling in love breaks all the laws of the Night World.

Ah. The first story that starts it off. I really like how this story introduces us into the Night World. The author does a good job explaining it and I love Poppy's situation. She's a cool character except for the main dumb mistake that she makes that everyone else cold see from a mile away. Though I guess the story wouldn't be as interesting if she didn't make it. Otherwise good start to the series. Not the best story in the series so definitely keep reading.

Daughters Of Darkness

Fugitives from Night World, three vampire sisters leave their isolated home to live among humans in Daughters of Darkness. Their brother, Ash, is sent to bring the girls back, but he falls in love with their beautiful friend.

My favorite story in this volume. Maybe because I'm a sucker for the main girl liking Astronomy or because Ash is just plan awesome. The story really kicks off once Ash is introduced and I really loved the location and the direction the story took. The ending's the only part I wasn't 100% fond of. But, more will be revealed in the final volume and there's a short story on the author's main website if you can't wait like me :)

Spellbinder

Two witch cousins fight over their high school crush. It's a battle between black magic and white magic in Spellbinder.

My least favorite story from this volume, but still a good read. I like the relationship between the two witch cousins Thea and Blaise. I think I have a thing more for vampires then witches, which might be why I'm leaning more towards the other two stories, but it's still a good story on it's own. Can't say much more since it's one I sadly can't remember that well @_@

Dark Angel

In Dark Angel, Gillian is saved from drowning by her guardian angel. Only visible to Gillian, Angel will fulfill her heart's every desire. But when Angel starts making strange and sinister requests, Gillian must question who he truly is and where he came from.

The weak link in the series. This story definitely is the worst out of them all. Maybe because I just can't seem to like Gillian that much? I actually like reading stories about a girl wanting to be more popular, but Gillian just couldn't grasp my favor. The main guy didn't really either. Though who her soulmate was and the mystery of who Angel really was is what kept me hooked on this story.

The Chosen

Armed with a wooden stake, martial arts, and the will to resist a vampire's mind control, Rashel struggles to avenge her mother's death in The Chosen. Then she meets Quinn, her soulmate, who is part of the world she has vowed to destroy.

Best one! Hands down! Once you hit here you get the best stories coming afterwards. I wasn't sure of the idea of a vampire hunter, but the author does a good job with it. I loved the beginning chapters of Rashel's past and I love Rashel's character. Quinn is also awesome. Definitely the best in the series.

Soulmate

Hannah receives notes warning her of incredible danger in Soulmate. But if death is her destiny, is the Lord of the Night World's love strong enough to save her?

This story definitely is my second favorite in the series. I love how it starts connecting the other stories more. I really loved how it went back and told the history of Hannah's past lives. I mean who doesn't love a history with cavemen, egypt, etc.? Just a great story overall. I love the history and the main characters.

Huntress

A vampire hunter -- who is half vampire -- stalks her own kind to protect humans in Huntress.

Plot twist! Now were stepping up the plot for the final book. 4 Wild Powers to save the world and in this story we find the first. I actually didn't think I was going to like this story very much. Luckily I was proven wrong. This is half vampires done right! I really ended up liking the characters, but sadly the Wild Power didn't turn out to be the one I won't it to be :( Still a good story otherwise!

Black Dawn

In Black Dawn, Maggie stumbles upon an old Night World kingdom where the ruling vampire prince is both an enemy and an ally.

My favorite in this volume. Again vampire prince caught my attention and luckily it was done right! I really enjoyed the characters again and really wished this story could of been longer. That way we could of learned more about the characters and seen more of the awesome castle! ^^ I really hope this Kingdom plays a role in the final book. I'd love to read some scenes in this location again!

Witchlight

And Circle Daybreak hires Keller, a shapeshifting panther, to guard a new Wild Power in Witchlight. But when Keller falls in love with the Wild Power's soulmate, her love could destroy everything....

I also ended up really enjoying this story even though I had my doubts. Shapeshifters are probably my least favorite on the list, but I really liked them in this story. Plus Dragon's being shapeshifers I really like. I'm sure Dragon's are going to be playing a bigger role in the finale and with the glimpse we see here I can't wait to see how it gets played out. My only complaint is that the ending is a little rushed. Though there around 200 page stories so we can't get everything we want. At least not now. Again the finale is said to tie up all loose ends.

The last sentence is the one that gets to me the most. There's so many characters that I'm attached too and don't want to die!! Ah! And I heard this book is supposed to be around a 1000 pages. Please spare Ash, Rashel, Quinn, Thierry, Delos and Maggie and Mary-Lynette. Though I can't see the last two running off to battle. Gah! The last sentence of course bothers me. I can't wait for this one to be released! Hopefully it'll be an epic ending to an epic series!

And now for real life! AHH!! I just got my registration time for the fall quarter! It sucks!! This is the worst time I'd gotten so far! 2:30 on the last day! And it's during my Psychology class! I was at 1:00 last quarter! How did I get pushed so far behind ;____; Now I'm really worried about not getting the classes I want. Guess I need to start picking more back ups. Great.... And I'm going to have to bring my computer and register for classes during class. It's not like kids haven't done it before. And my teacher's really cool and let's kids bring laptops anyway. Luckily my time is right around when we usually have our ten minute break so hopefully I can do it peacefully then.

*sigh* Why does my time have to suck? I'm still pretty sure that I'll get into Astronomy and Italian since their freshmen classes and I'm a sophomore who gets to choose before them. And I really don't think there are that many sophomores who need or want to take these classes left. It's my Sociology sophomore class I'm worried about... There's only one and I'm pretty sure it's going to fill up quick. Gotta start planning my back up's now. Registration is in a week and a half. Gah.. dumb college. Please don't screw me over like last time... Thank you!

Degrassi Goes Hollywood

Dang, now this trailer actually makes me want to see the movie. The other trailers didn't impress me, but this one does now!

I don't know how I feel about Crellie, but Marco pushing Craig into the pool was awesome! We go Marco!

Manny's song at the end seemed really good. And I'm still wondering how Jay's going to play a role in all this.

Peter punching some guy was also awesome, but over Mia... yuck. Maybe if we're lucky the guy will take Mia away and we'll never have to see her again :)

And I saw Kelly! Looks like he hasn't just walked off the face of the earth. I wonder if he's still going to be in season 9? And I saw Spinner working at the Dot with his arm in a cast!! I really hope we get to see some appearances of the other Degrassi kids *cough*Niners*cough* in the background too.

Mia and Sav being in the movie is the only downside I see. Luckily they'll probably only be b or c plots in certain parts of the movie. Manny, Paige and Ellie seem to be the main characters.

I wasn't fond of the whole Hollywood thing, but if they play it well I think it can be really good. Hopefully Canada gives us an air date soon! And hopefully the air dates before the U.S.'s in August.

We also now have the first 6 titles of season 9! :D

Turning Anime into Live-Action seems to be the new thing

Well, I'm slow, but a week ago apparently Full Metal Panic! got picked up to be a live action movie entitled Panic.

I love Full Metal Panic! Both the anime and manga, but I dunno how I feel about a live action. I did enjoy Transformers, so hopefully they can make it good like Transformers. But, Zac Efron? I don't have anything against him. I didn't really like him in High School Musical, but I liked him in Hiarspray. I really can't see him playing Sousuke or any other character in the series though....

There's been so many animes being turned into live action movies lately. I guess their getting good money off it.

It's April, which means new spring animes! Yay, for new series!! Hopefully I'll stick with more then 2 this time XD

Here's the one's that have caught my interest.

Pandora Hearts
Oz Bezarius, heir to one of the duke houses, has just turned fifteen. His life is rich and carefree, darkened only by the constant absence of his father. At his coming-of-age ceremony, however, everything changes. For no reason that he can discern, he's cast into the prison known as the "Abyss", only to be saved by a "chain" known as Alice, the bloodstained black rabbit. Why was he cast into Abyss, how does Alice factor into it all, and what does the organization known as "Pandora" want with him...?

I loved the first series. And I love what I'd read of the manga. I can't wait to see Ling, Lan Fan, etc. animated :3

Gokujou!! Mecha Mote Iinchou
Mimi Kitagami is a kind, level-headed girl who aims to be the best, coolest student council president of her high school class. However, three trouble-making boys are always causing her grief — and she has a one-sided crush on one of the boys, Ushio Tōjō.

Chances of me watching and sticking with it: Probably good.
I need some new shoujo, so hopefully this series will be good enough to fill in that spot. The characters also look like the characters from Sugar Sugar Rune, or maybe that's just me :3

Hanasakeru Seishounen
Synopsis
A very powerful industrialist directs his daughter to pick a husband from three candidates he has chosen for her. They are to come into her life, and their uniqueness would cause her to recognize them immediately. All three of the candidates are outstanding. Well, it’s actually four... The story evolves along the lines of a power political mystery involving a small middle eastern country.

It looks interesting, so I wanna give it a try. Plus another shoujo!

Kobato is sweet and perky girl, but also extremely naive about the world around her. She has a "mission", which is to fill a mysterious bottle of hers with the suffering from people's hearts so her wish to go a certain place that she desires to go can be granted. However, she must not fall in love with a particular boy she works with and whose heart she must heal.

Yay, CLAMP!! Hopefully I'll read the manga soon. I really want to get into this series!
